Bright Eyes Therapy offer an individualised Key Worker program servicing the Ballarat area. Your key worker becomes a single point of contact, helping to coordinate your therapy services and providing guidance and education. We strive to empower and support parents who are beginning their journey.
Key workers have a background working with families and children who have a disability or developmental delay. They support your family to make decisions, have access to the information you need, prioritise and help you understand your rights. Your key worker may sometimes attend other appointments with you and help facilitate your care plan.
Our goal as your key worker is to build your skill set, confidence and capacity to support your children and those around you.
Your key worker will try and be matched to your main areas of priority and you may see other professionals for assessments and support, however ongoing intervention is provided by your number one contact. Evidence suggests that, particularly in children, when the child works with one person consistently, they are more likely to learn new skills. Key worker model is the recommended support system from the NDIS.
